7 Reasons Night Shift Nurses Swear By the Hugl™ Cooling Body Pillow
By Amanda C. | Last Updated Sep 25, 2026
58,500+ Women's Sleep Changed
8:04 AM · home from a 12-hour shift
Summary: How do you get real sleep at 9am, after a 12-hour shift, while the sun is up and the rest of the street is having breakfast? The Hugl™ Cooling Body Pillow pairs a NASA-inspired cooling cover with full-body support so your body can switch off no matter what time your night starts. Here are the seven reasons 58,500+ women say they will not sleep without it.
As Seen In
1. ❄️ You'll Sleep Cool at 9am, Even With the Sun Up
Day sleep is a fight against physics. The sun is up, the house is warming, and a regular cotton pillowcase holds that heat against you. The Hugl™ cover is different: moisture-wicking bamboo blended with PE cooling fibers, the same kind of material used in NASA spacesuits.
Cool to the touch
even at 2pm with the sun up
Bamboo-blend cover
wicks moisture off your skin
PE cooling fibers
pull heat away, NASA-inspired
2. 🙌 One Pillow Replaces the Whole Pillow Fort
You know the routine. One pillow between the knees, one behind the back, one to hug, and a rolled towel somewhere in the mix. Then you turn over at 1pm and rebuild the whole thing half asleep.
The Hugl™ is one U-shaped piece that supports your front and back at the same time, so turning over means taking the pillow with you instead of starting again. And unlike cheap body pillows that go flat inside a month, its high-density memory foam fill keeps its shape night after night.
Before
The 1pm pillow fort
Five pillows, a towel, and a rebuild every time you roll over.
After
One Hugl™
Front, back, knees and neck covered by one piece that moves with you.
3. ✅ 93% of Surveyed Customers Report No Back or Neck Pain
Nobody has to explain post-shift back pain to a nurse. You have been lifting, leaning and standing on hard floors since 7pm, and then you lie down on your side and let your top knee drop to the mattress, which twists your hips and curves your spine for the next seven hours.
6:50 AM
93%
of surveyed Hugl™ customers reported no back or neck pain after switching. That is the difference between waking up ready for the next rotation and waking up already sore.
The Hugl™ fills the gap between your knees and under your arm so your weight spreads across the pillow instead of loading your lower back, hips and shoulders. Your spine stays in a straight line, which is where it stops complaining.
Without Hugl™
Hips twist, spine curves
The top knee falls, the pelvis follows, and the lower back takes the load all night.
With Hugl™
Knee supported, spine straight
Hips stacked, shoulder open, weight spread across the pillow.

4. 🧺 You'll Never Stress About Cleaning It
If your scrubs go straight into the wash after every shift, your bedding should be held to the same standard. The Hugl™ has a zip-off cover that goes in the machine on cold, comes out of the dryer on low, and zips back on in about a minute.
The fabric is antimicrobial, so it stays fresher between washes too. Most body pillows are spot-clean only, which for anyone who works around a hospital is not really an option.
Cover off, scrubs in, both done by lunch.
Machine wash cold, tumble dry low. The inner fill never needs washing.
5. 🦦 Perfect For Side Sleepers
Around 70% of people sleep on their side, and almost every pillow on the market is built for back sleepers. The Hugl™ was designed the other way round. It supports a side sleeper from the neck to the knees, and because it is a U, it does that on whichever side you land.
That last part matters more than it sounds after a 12-hour shift, when you fall into bed and do not want to think about which way you are facing.
10:20 AM, curtains closed, phone face down.
Head, arm, belly and knee supported on one side. Roll over and the other side of the U is already there.
6. 💥 Over 200 Million People Have Watched It on TikTok
Hugl™ has passed 200M views on TikTok and has been featured on Shark Tank and Good Morning America. Most of those views come from ordinary people filming the unboxing, the first night, and the "why did nobody tell me" moment a week later.
Nurses, new moms and hot sleepers share it with each other, which is why stock runs low every time a video takes off.
7. 👍 You Risk Absolutely Nothing
One night on a showroom pillow tells you nothing. Hugl™ gives you a full month at home on your real schedule: day sleeps, recovery days, and the swing back to nights.
If it is not the best sleep you have had in years, email hello@weareplufl.com inside 30 nights for a complete refund, no questions asked. It also comes with a 1-year warranty.
How the 30-night trial actually goes
Night 1
It arrives in 3 to 5 days with free express shipping. Unbox it, zip on the cover and sleep on it that same day.
